  1. Probably the best option for the price 4 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Jun 2014

    - Less than 1/3 the price of a Surefire Scout
    - Good beam pattern for indoors
    - Right amount of light. Illuminates well without blinding the operator
    - Low profile clip-on mount doesn't interfere with nearby accessories

    - No option for constant-on or other tape switch
    - Momentary button requires a fair amount of force

In general I'm quite happy with this light. I knew it was momentary-only with no tape switch when I bought it, so it's not really a con for me, though it does limit mounting options. It does require a pretty firm thumb-press to keep it on, but as long as you press hard enough it illuminates very well for home defense and similar applications. A Surefire Scout or similar would probably be more flexible/robust, but for $100 this light is hard to beat.
